Leaked: Samsung Galaxy S23 pricing will remain the same in the US

Galaxy S23 series

Leaked carrier information suggests that the Galaxy S23 series will start at $799, following the model from last year.

On February 1, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S23 series. Before this, there have been several rumors and leaks indicating that the S23 series would include several enhancements, particularly to the camera array.

New carrier leaks indicate that this is not the case in the United States, even though it was previously anticipated that the Galaxy S23 series would start at approximately $100 more than it did last year. The Galaxy S23 is expected to start at $799.99 for the base model, as indicated by Verizon’s official-looking spec sheet. The Galaxy S23+ appears to be priced at $999.99, followed by the S23 Ultra, which is priced at $1,199.99. The S22 series’ identical MSRP values for each device are reflected in these prices.

Other than the price, the leaked image lends credence to several other rumors. For instance, the S23 will begin with a base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The S23+, which is new, starts at 256GB and has 8GB of RAM. The powerful S23 Ultra, which is also unique, starts at 256GB and has 8GB of RAM. The S23 can be upgraded to 256GB, and both the S23+ and the S23 Ultra will be available with 512GB storage. The larger storage model of the S23 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM. It’s interesting to note that the S22 had 256GB of RAM, while the S23 Ultra only had 8GB.

The anticipated launch date for Samsung is also visible. Verizon’s leaked infographic suggests that the S23 series will likely go on sale on February 17 at around 3:01 a.m. EST.

Samsung’s pricing strategy for the Galaxy S23 deserves a sigh of relief if the information above is accurate. The S23 lineup didn’t need to be $100 more expensive because it had slightly better specifications and components. It will be easier for people who want to pre-order the S23 to choose between the three models, which cost $799, $999, and $1,199, respectively.

Customers can still sign up for an account on Samsung’s reservation page and place an S23 order before the pre-order deadline of February 2 at 1 p.m. EST.
